Catholic Priest Dies After Attending Burial Of His Colleague



Was reported that the cleric was killed in an accident in front of St. Teresa Cathedral in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi state.

The priest is said to leave the church after attending the funeral of his colleague, Rev. Christopher Nnachi Agwu.

Until his death, Eselu was parish priest of St. Patrick Ezza-Ofu parish in Ebonyi state.

One from the diocesan chancellor Rev.Father Mathew Uzoma Opoke described Eselu as a cheerful and devoted priest who enjoyed celebrating Mass.

The explanation is: “We hope that God, whom he served, will prepare a banquet of good things for one. Who has served in his vineyard in such a remarkable way? We ask for your prayers for his eternal rest after his meritorious service. Funeral rite to be announced later.”

Wrestler Sentenced to Death for Murdering His Wife
A local wrestler in Adamawa State, Thank-you Grim, was sentenced to death for murdering his ex-wife. The the perpetrator was convicted of hitting his wife Kwalla after she filed for divorce.

After committing the crime, he turned himself into the police, who charged him in court.

A High Court ordered the accused to be hanged by the neck until his death.

The presiding judge, Judge Nathan Musa, said he found the combatant guilty of the crime.

The judge said the prosecution had proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the convict murdered the deceased. He said: “As stated in my judgment, the convicted person is convicted of manslaughter, which is punishable by death. So my hands are tied. I can't do anything else.

"Therefore, the convict is sentenced to death by hanging, as provided for in Section 192 (b) of the Criminal Code."

According to the prosecutor, the militant pushed his wife to the ground and hit her with a mortar.
